Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our talented team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at WTCP you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. • The location is in Waynesville MO
• The working schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed
• Oncall weekend rotation and floating are not required

Key Responsibilities:

• PTAs assist in assessing patients by observing their movement strength flexibility and overall physical condition
• PTAs carry out the treatment plans created by physical therapists. This may involve exercises stretches manual therapy techniques and the use of therapeutic equipment
• PTAs educate patients on their condition the purpose of various exercises and techniques to improve their mobility. They may also provide guidance on athome exercises and selfcare.
• PTAs closely monitor patients progress and report back to the supervising physical therapist
• PTAs may assist with the application of therapeutic modalities such as heat cold ultrasound and electrical stimulation as part of the treatment plan
• Keeping accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress is an essential aspect of a PTAs role
• PTAs provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation process
• PTAs work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care

Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistance Certification in the state of practice
• 1 year recent Physical Therapy Assistant experience in a rehab setting
  
• BLS Certification
