Structrual Steel Job Posting -- Structural Engineer
Are you an experienced Licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in structural steel? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you! gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Aviation Construction, Mills and Warehouses, and Commercial and Civil Construction industry. Our client has been in business for over 25 years and is a full-service Steel Building Systems Manufacturer.
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and analysis of structural steel components and systems. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural steel components and systems for construction projects
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions
- Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for improvements or repairs
- Perform calculations and simulations to verify the structural integrity of designs
- Create detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct thorough inspections of project sites to assess structural needs
- Design and develop structural steel systems that meet project requirements
- Perform structural load calculations and analysis
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project coordination
Skills:
- Licensed Professional Engineer with a focus on structural engineering
- 5+ years of experience in structural steel design and analysis
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS)
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
