Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Steel Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the design and analysis of structural steel components and systems, ensuring the successful completion of various construction projects while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Located in Dothan, AL
Responsibilities:
* Design and analyze structural steel components and systems for diverse construction projects.
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to develop innovative and practical solutions.
* Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for improvements or repairs.
* Perform calculations and simulations to verify the structural integrity of designs.
* Create detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
* Conduct thorough inspections of project sites to assess structural needs.
* Design and develop structural steel systems that meet project requirements.
* Perform structural load calculations and analysis.
* Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project coordination.
Qualifications:
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a focus on structural engineering.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel design and analysis.
* Experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
