Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations and internal controls. You'll also collaborate closely with various teams, including Sales and Customer Success, to support our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and creating finance reporting packages.
Manage monthly revenue recognition and related reconciliations.
Lead the annual external audit process.
Reconcile transactional data between internal databases and Salesforce.
Partner with the Sales team to generate invoices and track receivables.
Oversee contract administration and manage monthly/quarterly sales tax returns.
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls.
Identify and address issues, suggesting process improvements to enhance accounting workflows.
Assist in preparing year-end GAAP financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
Support tax preparation efforts.
Maintain vendor information and manage the 1099 process.
Oversee payroll and contractor payments.
Assist with various projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification is a plus but not required.
3+ years of professional accounting experience (experience in SaaS companies is a plus but not mandatory).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Organized, disciplined, and process-oriented.
Comfortable working with journal entries.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels, even in a remote setting.
