Job Description
Join our team as a Simulation Operations Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in managing and coordinating simulation events for our Medical College of Georgia. You'll work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution of educational simulations, supporting both technology and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
A/V Technology:
Operate and troubleshoot a range of audiovisual hardware and software.
Set up and manage AV equipment for various events, ensuring effective and safe use.
Provide technical support and maintain audiovisual systems.
Educational Support:
Support the use of instructional media and equipment for educational simulations.
Conduct pre-briefings and orientations for learners, faculty, and staff.
Assist with exams, assessments, and testing, ensuring a smooth educational experience.
Serve as an internal consultant for integrating simulation technologies into the curriculum.
IT Equipment:
Manage IT equipment setup, operation, and storage.
Ensure connectivity between regional campus sites for statewide simulation activities.
Provide troubleshooting support and maintain IT equipment.
Simulation Operations:
Plan and coordinate statewide simulation activities in alignment with strategic goals.
Maintain stock levels and ensure the security of consumables and equipment.
Keep preparation and storage areas clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Maintain documentation and contribute to program administration and reporting.
Simulation Technology:
Set up, operate, and maintain simulators and other simulation equipment.
Provide support for both in-person and remote simulation technologies.
Collaborate with vendors to meet current and future simulation technology needs.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the simulation program.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in simulation, healthcare, technology, or a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong critical thinking and judgment skills with the ability to work independently.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to cybersecurity and privacy policies.
Schedule and Compensation:
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, with potential for occasional work outside normal business hours.
Salary: $48,800 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
