About the Role

As an Algebra Tutor, you'll provide personalized 1-on-1 live online tutoring to students at various levels, from 6th grade through college. Your role will involve more than just teaching Algebra; you'll also cover a range of Math topics to help students excel.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate professionally and promptly with students, clients, and our team
Assess students' understanding of Math concepts and identify areas for improvement
Create and implement customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
Deliver engaging and clear instruction to facilitate effective learning
Monitor student progress and offer constructive feedback and support
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Manage your schedule to meet student needs efficiently
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Requirements

Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
Flexible teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
Strong communication skills and professionalism
Proficiency with online tutoring tools and technology
Ability to connect with students and make learning enjoyable
Patience and empathy towards students' challenges
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required
At least 3 years of professional tutoring experience, with 1+ years of online tutoring
Reliable internet connection and own a computer/laptop, stylus pen, and headphones
Professional, quiet environment for conducting sessions
U.S.-based bank account and valid SSN
Expertise in the subject areas you will teach
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
Minimum of 10 hours per week availability, with 70% of availability during peak times (Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 11pm Eastern)
