Job Title: Live in or Out Nanny/Housekeeper

Location: Purchase, NY

Hours: 2 days/week 8:30am to 6-8pm; 3 days/week 10am - 6-8pm
with flexibility for earlier or later start times depending on the day.

Overview: We are seeking a responsible, mature, and culturally aware Nanny/Housekeeper to assist in the care of two children, aged 10 and 16, and help with light household duties. This role requires flexibility and a calm, low-key demeanor. Must be available for overnights as needed or can be a live-in position. Family has cleaners come twice/week for deep cleaning. Must also be comfortable around cats and dogs as family has both.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare: 

• Supervise the 10-year-old daughter who is homeschooled, including taking her to daily classes and activities.
• Assist with the 16-year-old son, who is enrolled in an online global program with varying hours due to time zone differences.
• Stay home when one or both children are at home, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Light Housekeeping: 

• Perform daily tasks such as making beds, handling laundry (excluding bedding), and basic kitchen cleaning.
• No deep cleaning required, as professional cleaners come twice a week.

Meal Preparation:  Prepare simple meals kids such as salads and pasta.

Errands:  Occasionally assist with errands.

Requirements:

• Experience: Prior experience in childcare and housekeeping.
• Skills: Ability to take direction well and perform tasks efficiently. Understanding of different cultures.
• Flexibility: Must be adaptable to a changing schedule, including potential overnights.
• Driver's License: Required, as a car will be provided for job-related driving.
• Personal Qualities: Mature and responsible with a quiet and calm demeanor.
