Description:  

Being a member of the RevLocal Corporate Marketing team requires applicants to be comfortable working collaboratively. The Junior Multimedia Designer will create content for our internal and external audiences. Internal content will support the corporate communications senior manager as well as our other departments and teams, both in operations and sales. External content would be anything related to digital marketing that makes RevLocal stand out from the competition. This content will be produced alongside a Digital Media Producer. 

This individual will be equally imaginative, strategic, and communicative in nature, collaborating with other team members to create well-produced videos, animated content, written communication via email or on our Intranet. This self-sufficient position does require an extent of physical work, setting up and tearing down equipment as needed and may require occasional travel for videoshoots. 

It is important for this candidate to demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter, having conversations across stakeholders/interested parties and “owning” initiatives and projects as they are assigned.   

Responsibilities:  

• Create and develop content that either supports, educates, or informs  
• Create well-produced, captured videos or animations for social channels, website and email content, or organic YouTube content  
• Shoot and edit company headshots, maintaining an accurate catalog of current employees 
• Supplement video footage with equal or more amounts of onscreen graphics and motion graphics  
• Take on motion design projects that require storyboarding, the understanding of principles of design and motion design, and the drive to find new ways of creating animation  
• Shoot required B-roll, directing talent either remotely or in office.  
• Conduct candid interviews 
• Set up and shoot during live events  
• Manage multiple video projects/schedules effectively while communicating progress  
• Post-production tasks such as audio and color correction  

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviors:  

• Familiarity with professional video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio  
• Experience with photography cameras and knowledge and experience on how to compose a compelling photo 
• Experience in audio and color correction  
• Understand and be able to apply the principles of design and motion design  
• Ability to follow organizational naming and filing conventions, both on external drives and server  
• Professional verbal and written communication skills  
• Ability to work creatively and effectively in a collaborative environment  
• Ability to pitch ideas and problem solve comfortably  
• Positive attitude and accountability  
• Self-disciplined and self-motivated to meet deadlines  

Education & Experience:  

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop  
• Trade, Technical School, or University for multimedia, video production, (or) 1-2 years of related experience  

 Other:  

• Must have a portfolio of existing work to demonstrate abilities
