Job Title: French-Creole Translator 
Schedule: 3rd Shift 10 pm - 6 am - Mon - Fri - 40/hr. a week - It might roll on to a Saturday (probability)

Summary:


The LCOE interpreter will interpret/translate language accurately for any assignment working with non-English speaking team members at the Wilkesboro NC facility. All information that is interpreted must remain confidential. The interpreter must be self-motivated and able to complete assignments with little supervision. LCOE interpreters will report to the facility's Senior Human Resources Partner. An interpreter will complete annual professional development and assessment to maintain high-quality skills and performance. The interpreter will attain expertise on program offerings provided by Tyson Foods in order to communicate effectively to team members. Interpreting assignments include the following: face-to-face interpretation, over-the-phone interpretation, video interpretation, written translation, voice recordings, cultural review and consultation, and program orientation.

Requirements and responsibilities:


This is for 2 separate Interpreter roles- 1 fluent in Haitian (French-Creole) and 1 in Wolof.
Fluent in English as well with one of the above languages

• Need an interpreter for the department - for the managers to understand what needs to be done, and what needs to be cleaned at the facility.
• The interpreter will be reporting to the HR and senior partner.
• This is a temp-to-hire position.
• Initially, this is going to be a 3rd shift and might change later.
• Submit everyone on this position - specify the language as it is 2 separate roles.
• Will be working with the Sanitization team as needed.
• They are not a part of the sanitization team, their only job would be interpretation and they are a part of the HR team.
• This is a kill facility. Make sure candidates are comfortable with the environment.
• It is a cleaning team that will work with warm/hot water. It will be a wet floor.
• Looking for someone who is competitively fluent in the language required - experience in the same field is not necessary.
• Experience in the 3rd shift and plant environment would be a plus.

This is a 100% Onsite role - no chances on remote/hybrid.



Training:  1st week of the job. Shift of the training will be decided by the faculty upon joining.



Computer Skills:   Basic PC skills preferred. Primarily Microsoft Windows XP Professional programs such as Excel Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office programs.
They would be working on the computer on a daily basis.



Travel:   minimal.



Interview process:   HR will decide and do the interview - mostly virtual.
