Fire Protection Engineer - REMOTE - 1085

Our client is bringing on a new Fire Protection Engineer to support engineering projects, focusing on fire protection, life safety systems, and code compliance. This role requires a graduate from an accredited engineering institution who can contribute to the firm's success through design work and collaboration with various teams. Key responsibilities include developing fire protection plans, guiding team members, and ensuring high-quality engineering designs. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Florida, with additional credentials being advantageous. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have experience as an Engineering Designer, demonstrating skills in hydraulic calculations, layout design, and proficiency in software like Revit and AutoCAD. They should also excel in technical writing, time management, and organization, being able to author various technical documents effectively.

Requirements
- Strong analytical skills to apply codes and standards in design decisions.
- Expertise in fire protection systems, with knowledge of HVAC and other related systems being beneficial.
- Experience in projects related to healthcare, central plant infrastructure, and aerospace facilities.
- Familiarity with tools like HASS and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to work well in teams and independently, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting project requirements and conducting field surveys.
- Involvement in projects from concept to construction phases.
- Experience in mentoring junior staff and overseeing their daily tasks.

Minimum Requirements  
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status
- NCEES registration
- Proficiency in Revit
- Excellent communication skills
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is also required
