Job Description

Are you an entry-level or new graduate structural engineer? Selectek is partnering with a company near Marietta, Georgia to find junior Structural Engineers to join their team. This firm specializes in material handling and conveyor systems for large-scale industrial projects, so candidates need to have an interest or some experience in that field.

Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Marietta, GA
Expected Pay Range: $27.00-$36.00 per hour before conversion, depending on experience
This firm is small in colleague count but large in reputation, having worked on projects across multiple continents.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor systems
- Between 1-5 years of experience with industrial equipment preferred, but recent graduates should also apply
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, and Structural Analysis is a plus
- Ideal candidates have experience with structural steel design, Pulp/Papermill, bulk materials handling, or similar projects

In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:
- Work on projects for materials handling conveyor systems and equipment
- Create designs and layouts for new conveyor systems (specifically sandwich belt and high-angle applications), machinery, parts, and assemblies/subassemblies
- All design work with this company is done by the engineers
- Take part in all phases of the project from initial design to implementation
- Assist in developing bid packages
- Work with senior team members on pricing, project management, engineering, modeling and start-up
- Travel to sites for implementation and start-up of machinery on occasion
