Job Description

Auria  is looking to hire a  DevSecOps Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.

 

The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program
  • Work with the leading DevOps practices and tools such as:
    • Hashicorp Tools
    • GitLab CI/CD
    • Ansible Tower
    • Nexus Pro
  • Work on systems administration-related issues with hardware and software for different network environments
  • Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating  COTS, GOTS , and developed software
  • Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers
  • Determines system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies
  • Develops and recommends corrective actions
  • May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience,
    • or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience,
    • or a PhD and 1 years of experience,
    • or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration
  • Scripting skills in languages such as:
    • Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience with automation
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault
  • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD and Nexus
  • Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to:
    • VMware
    • Understanding of HP server configuration
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
  • Must be responsible for working independently on large projects at other times, will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers and other program development and deployment teams

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Candidates with an understanding of the software development life cycle and experience with Agile methodology is highly desired

Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($99,000 - $113,000).
