At Primacy, the copywriter’s work in a collaborative environment is to conceptualize and create unparalleled experiences that blend creativity with strategy and move the needle for our clients. Our writers are involved in every step of the process—from the initial brainstorms to the client presentations to the final deliverables—turning a creative brief into a creative masterpiece. We’re looking for someone who not only has a way with words but also knows how to work with a team of highly skilled designers, UX professionals, and strategists. This role will start as a hybrid role, working 50% of their time with one of our most prestigious clients on SEO driven digital copy, eventually transitioning back to 100% of full time Primacy work.

Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with client team and environments : Candidate will integrate seamlessly into our client’s organization and will be expected to adapt to the client’s systems and workflows.  
  • Creative ideation at all stages of project : Generate fresh, engaging ideas that resonate with our audience and align with our clients' goals.
  • Captivating copy : Craft copy that solves problems, delivers results and is consistent with brand and client strategy, across various platforms, from digital campaigns to social media posts.
  • SEO Optimization: Seamlessly integrate SEO best practices into your copy, ensuring it ranks well without sacrificing tone or creativity.
  • Financial Services Expertise : Translate complex financial concepts into clear, engaging, and approachable content that speaks to both industry insiders and everyday consumers.
  • Collaborative Development: Work closely with designers, art directors, and strategists to bring big ideas to life, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Client Engagement : Participate in client meetings and presentations, confidently pitching ideas and taking feedback on board to refine your work

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years agency experience as a copywriter
  • Some Financial Services industry experience is a must
  • A proven ability to think conceptually and develop ideas that stand out in a crowded market
  • An impressive creative portfolio is a must
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between copy and art
  • Comfort with multi-tasking in a fast-paced agency environment and switching from one project to another at a moment’s notice
  • Ability to work collaboratively among colleagues and the organization
  • “Know how” to apply inspiring and strategic thinking to meet a variety of client needs and expectations across multiple verticals e.g., healthcare, financial services, higher education, and manufacturing consumer, etc.
  • Understanding of brand identity and how to ensure all messaging is “on brand”
  • Impeccable eye for detail and strong editing/proofing skills
  • Knowledge of current SEO trends and techniques, with experience integrating them into copy effectively
  • Ability to balance in person and remote environments
  • Blog writing or other content marketing writing experience
