Job Title: Claims Adjuster (Auto and Bodily Injury)
Location: Greater Baltimore area, MD
Position: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Claims Adjuster with expertise in auto and bodily injury claims to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims to ensure fair and timely resolutions for our policyholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough investigations of auto and bodily injury claims, including reviewing police reports, medical records, and other relevant documentation.
Assess liability and determine the extent of coverage under the policy.
Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
Evaluate damages and injuries to determine appropriate settlements or payment amounts.
Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all actions taken and decisions made throughout the claims process.
Collaborate with other team members, including claims supervisors, attorneys, and vendors, as needed to resolve complex claims.
Qualifications:
High School degree and equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in handling auto and bodily injury claims.
Strong knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in computer applications, including claim management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Applied Epic or Dynamics
Experience working with complex or litigated claims.
