Certified Peer Recovery Coach : OnPoint is seeking an organized, committed professional to fill the position of full-time Certified Peer Recovery Coach. As a Certified Peer Recovery Coach for OnPoint, you will be responsible for s upporting individuals in their unique recovery journey through mentorship, coaching and empathy, including skill building, problem-solving and appropriately sharing one’s own recovery journey.
PAY RANGE/BENEFIT PACKAGE: Salary: starting at $44,788 annually - placement above minimum salary is based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or GED.
- State of Michigan Certified Peer Recovery Coach or be eligible to become certified by the State as a Peer Recovery Coach, which requires an individual to have:
- Long-term, stable recovery from alcohol and other drugs.
- Able to identify with another individual based on their shared life experiences to promote recovery by removing barriers and obstacles to recovery.
- Been a recipient of substance abuse services for at least one year, with a substantial life disruption due to their substance abuse condition.
- Have personal experience with navigating complex substance abuse treatment services.
- Dual certification as Certified Peer Support Specialist in Michigan preferred.
- One year of professional experience in behavioral health services preferred.
- Professional experience as a peer recovery coach preferred.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - In accordance with funding, regulatory and best practice standards, deliver services as in each client’s individual plan of service.
- Facilitate recovery and other group interventions.
- Facilitate symptom-management techniques and promote personal growth and development by assisting clients in coping with external and internal stressors.
- Facilitate interventions with clients and their identified supports to foster recovery and progress on identified goals and objectives as outlined in the individualized plan of services.
- Participate with and/or assist in engaging in community education and recovery-support opportunities.
- Participate in supervision, staff meetings, treatment planning, quality improvement, and continuing education.
- Seek support and direction from clinicians when situations exceed the scope of practice.
- Document services according to funding, regulatory and best practice standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT/TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE: - Efficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Efficient in Electronic Medical Record system (EMR)
POSITIONS TO BE FILLED: - Two full time positions (40 hours/week)
