DESCRIPTION

Impact Media is looking for a Branded Content Editor! This position is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about using media for social good, has a keen understanding of brand storytelling, and knows how to engage an audience effectively through creative content. This role is particularly exciting as it will be the first to work cross-functionally with our client partnerships and editorial teams, ensuring that our branded content not only resonates with our audience but also aligns seamlessly with our partners' objectives.

As a Branded Content Editor, you’ll have the responsibility of shaping and overseeing content that not only aligns with our clients' objectives but also resonates deeply with our audience’s values. In this role, you'll manage and refine branded content projects from inception to execution, collaborating closely with our Client Partnerships team.

The Branded Content Editor will...

  • Lead the development and execution of branded content strategies across various digital platforms, ensuring that each piece is compelling, on-brand, and maximizes client engagement.
  • Mentor and oversee a team of writers and creatives, ensuring high-quality content production aligned with strategic goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement content campaigns that drive revenue and audience growth.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to keep our content fresh and relevant.

Responsibilities include...

  • Ideate and execute innovative content campaigns in collaboration with brand and non-profit partners.
  • Lead development of revenue-driving editorial products initiated by department leadership
  • Stay up to date on values-driven marketing and comms landscape
  • Spearhead the creation of an organic content strategy that aligns with branded initiatives, focusing on always-on content that supports CSR and ESG goals
  • Ensure all content, both organic and branded, is strategically cohesive and prepares the audience for upcoming campaigns.
  • Review and edit content submissions, ensuring they meet Impact Media’s standards and voice as well as accomplish the objectives of clients and business partners.
  • Manage multiple content projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Partner with the Impact and Environment editorial teams and the Chief Content Officer to craft proactive, organic content that primes audiences for future branded content verticals.
  • Collaborate with the Content Team to conceptualize and execute innovative video campaigns, aligning creative vision with strategic brand objectives

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, content strategy, editorial roles, or related fields, with a focus on branded content that drives product or brand goals forward.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, and a talent for storytelling.
  • Experience managing teams and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A profound understanding of how branded content can drive business and social impact.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
