The Barback is a critical support role on our bar team, ensuring bartenders have everything they need to provide seamless and efficient service. As a Barback, you will be responsible for maintaining stock, cleanliness, and organization behind the bar while upholding the high standards of The Alston Steakhouse.
Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware throughout service
Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
Collect and clean used glassware, bar tools, and surfaces during and after shifts
Prepare garnishes and bar prep items as directed by the bartender or manager
Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs
Take out trash and recycling as needed
Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines according to health code standards
Provide exceptional support with a team-first attitude
Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Must be at least 21 years of age (per local alcohol regulations)
Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented
Strong communication skills and a sense of urgency
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
