OPEN POSITION: Associate Pastor of Young Families
First Southern Baptist Church (FSBC)
Wellton, AZ

Purpose:
We are seeking a “follower of Jesus” whose passion is in working for the glory of God with Young Families and children of all ages; especially leading young children and youth to follow Jesus Christ. To be a working member of our mission team seeking “to introduce people to God, equip them to be like Jesus Christ and worship in spirit and truth.”

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing, planning, executing the Sunday School instruction by our volunteer staff for ages: nursery through high school utilizing prepared and approved curriculums for those age groups
• Teaching classes as necessary and facilitating young family small groups
• Coordinate and lead Children’s Church on Sundays during the Worship Service
• Willingness to preach to the congregation on occasion
• Reaching out in the local area to develop a rapport with the area schools and develop ministries to bring more young families and children to our church

Other Information:

• Salary: $50,000 (negotiable)
• Housing Allowance is included in the salary
• Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
• Potential annual scholarship for continued education at an SBC school
