College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Job Title: Assessment Coordinator
Job Description: This individual is employed as an Assessment Coordinator for the Physician Assistant (PA) program in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and will work under the direction of and report to the PA Program Director and Executive Director of Assessment. As directed by their supervisor, the employee will work with the College's Office of Assessment to create high-level data reports and statistical analysis from multiple data platforms to support data driven decision-making for the Physician Assistant program. The individual will work primarily out of St. John's University's Dr. Andrew J. Bartilucci Center, located at 175-05 Horace Harding Expressway, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365.
Responsibilities include: - Data analysis:
- Input, organize and manage data associated with the PA program, including but not limited to assistance with Weave Online, program matrices and curriculum mapping
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and administering assessment activities and events
- Design and perform statistical analyses under the supervision of the PA Program Director and Department Chair to include correlation, linear regression, and exploratory data analysis
- Utilize data sources including but not limited to admissions variables, student exam scores ( Exam Soft item and category analysis), various surveys, national benchmarks, and statistics
- Develop and assess various surveys in cooperation with the Office of Assessment
- Continually monitor and track various cyclical assessment data items
- Collect and analyze data to produce reports for accreditation and preparation for site visits
- Assist in planning and reporting results of continuous improvement initiatives
- Attend and participate in program and assessment meetings
- Support grant proposal submissions for the PA program faculty and students
- Prepare interim reports to support continuous data collection and analysis
- Performs miscellaneous job duties and assist with special projects as assigned
Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related discipline (i.e., Epidemiology, Statistics)
- Minimum of 3 years professional work experience as a data analyst
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, initiative, and resourcefulness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent data visualization skills and ability to explain results and solutions clearly.
- Excellent skills for the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Preferred qualifications: - Experience in higher education highly desirable.
- Knowledge of statistical software applications preferred
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary for this position is $62,400. St. John's University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
